Terms and Conditions

By bidding at Headley’s Auctions, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Your bid constitutes a legally binding contract.

1. General Bidding Agreement

All items are sold to the highest bidder. Headley’s Auctions reserves the right to reject any bid or resolve any disputes regarding the bidding process at our sole discretion.

2. “As Is” Condition

All lots are sold “As Is” and “Where Is.” We provide detailed descriptions and photos, but it is the bidder’s responsibility to inspect items before bidding. We make no guarantees regarding the working condition of mechanical items (clocks, watches, etc.) or the exact age of items unless specifically stated.

3. Buyer’s Premium & Taxes

A buyer’s premium will be added to the hammer price of each lot sold. Applicable sales tax will also be charged unless a valid tax-exempt certificate is provided to us before the auction begins.

4. Payment Terms
  • Successful bidders will receive an invoice via email after the auction closes.
  • All payments are due within 5 business days of the auction’s conclusion.
  • We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as specified in the auction catalog.
5. Pickup & Removal
  • All items must be removed from our gallery within 14 days of the auction date.
  • Any items left beyond 14 days may be subject to a daily storage fee.
  • Items not picked up within 30 days will be considered abandoned and become the property of Headley’s Auctions.
6. Shipping

Headley’s Auctions does not provide direct shipping services. We can provide a list of recommended third-party shippers. The buyer is responsible for all costs and arrangements related to packing and shipping.
